Lauren's cross stitch designs show the influence of the illuminated manuscript, combining inspirational texts with Celtic knotwork. Some are inspired by elements from famous illuminated manuscripts with rich paint-like ribbons of colour, and gold and silver highlights. Others are adapted to a more modern feel. Lauren finds producing creative Celtic designs using simple cross stitch endlessly fascinating and challenging and her finished designs demonstrate her love for her sources.
